Simply amazing! I know I've used that word to describe every new city we've seen but until Venice we didn't realize how much every other place pails in comparison! Seriously, no lie, most beautiful place on earth. LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! It certainly helped that it was sunny and warm, we were sans kids, that we enjoyed a number of bottles of Prosecco, and our accomodations were steps from the Piazza San Marco. A last minute purchase of a guide book that mapped out four walking tours proved priceless....we saw almost every calle, campo, fodementa's, rio and of course just one Piazza! I was in love with the architecture and history so pics may be a bit boring after a while if that's not your thing.
