English to English Dictionary

American english is very different than UK english! May-May, Gip, Mia and Papa, please find below a few new terms to brush up on before your visits!....

Diapers = Nappies
Stroller = Pram or Buggy
Shopping cart = Trolley
Line/wait = Que
Watch = Mind
Bathingsuit = Swimming costume (this is one i will never get used to)
Afternoon snack = High tea
Question = Query
Babysitter = Child minder
Nanny = Daily helper
Soccer = Football (i know we have reviewed this but the girls are really sticklers on this one. they will correct you everytime!)
Bathroom = Loo
Nice = Brilliant
Tired = Knackered
Drunk = Pissed
Beer = Pint
Coffee = Americano
