Our first, but not last trip to Windsor....
Wow, we visited Windsor today..what a beautiful place. It is about 45 minutes outside of London and home to Windsor Castle an official residence of the Queen and the oldest working castle in the world. The Castle is set up on a hill and the town centre sits on the streets below, almost in the shadow of the Castle. There are mews houses (former horse stables turned into homes...really very charming) which are just below one part of the castle. Imagine looking out your window and glancing up and seeing a Castle?! Windsor is also the home of Legoland and because the girls rule, and not me, we spent the day there versus touring the Castle. That's ok..Mom and Mia, we will go back to meet the Queen when you come to visit! We can't wait!

Kind of reminds me of when Lindsey and I were on a college-visiting loop during her junior year in high school and we headed off the preplanned route the minute we saw the Crayola factory signs. Legoland? Sounds great!! The queen can wait.
