So many "Firsts"......

Well, today was another First for us. We vistited the Mudchute Farm in Isle of Dogs with the girls new friend Charlotte and her mom Amy. The weather was beautiful, so we headed out early to what was described as a wonderful petting farm built on several acres of preserve in the middle of the city. We figured that it would be similar to the other beautiful parks in London. Well, first it started to rain...no problem because that's what happens in London, so we decided to duck into the cafe and have lunch. We where joined by about a dozen flies...no problem, farm=flies right!? By this point it had cleared and so we we headed out to continue our walk around the farm where we were able to teach the girls a new word....manure. No problem, we managed to dodge all but a few piles. As we were contemplating which path to go, I noticed a small animal running around...it was a RAT. I have been very fortunate to have never seen a rat until today. Amy (who come to find out has a bit of a phobia of rats) and I nearly killed the children as we ran dragging them and the strollers the opposite direction down the path. We were all covered in dirt (most likely manure) at this point and therefore decided we better call it a day! Everyday is an adventure and full of Firsts!!!
